Lucha VaVOOM To Perform At BDO’s El Jimador Mexican Wrestling Bar

Written by Mike Hohnen on November 20, 2012

As the official start to Big Day Out 2013 edges closer and closer, the lid is slowly being lifted on all the side attractions and bonus features that will be going down. Today we learn that not only will there be a fully functioning El Jimador Mexican Wrestling Bar, but that the out-of-control multitude that is Lucha VaVoom will be headlining at said bar.

Lucha VaVoom are one of the few entities in the world where masked Mexican wrestling, stripteasing and comedy mesh together seamlessly. Essentially, it’s all going to happen right in front of you, and you won’t need to leave your seat.

Throughout the show, you will experience full on Lucha Libre style Mexican wrestling fit with plenty of insane acrobatics, huge slams and massive hits. Once the loser is dragged from the ring, the curtains will part for a performance from some of the finest handpicked burlesque acts from around the world, who will be stripping, aerial acting, pogo-sticking, and hula-hooping for your viewing pleasure.

Now ten years on, Lucha VaVoom are even more out of control than ever, even Jack Black has labelled the troupe as “The shit!” – and that says something.

Lucha VaVOOM will be appearing at the El Jimador Mexican Wrestling Bar at all 2013 Big Day Out dates.
