Big Day Out Issue Weather Warning For Sydney Gig

With only a matter of hours to go until Big Day Out 2013 is in full swing, organisers have issued an extreme weather warning, urging ticket holders to gear up for a hot one, and prepare for thunderstorms.

Punters remain in high spirits, as, hey, it’s not really a BDO unless its unbelievably hot. Temperatures in Sydney are expected to reach a pretty toasty 39’c, meaning the risk of sunburn and sunstroke are super high. We can also expect a thunderstorm in the afternoon.

Organisers are advising everyone to get their slip, slop and slap on in order to make the most of their experience with minimal bother from the elements. If you find yourself needing to get some shade on the day, head to any of the following areas: The Dome, The Boiler Room, the Red Bull No Noise Nightclub, VANS Essentials Stage or The El Jimador Mexican Wrestling Bar, which will have permanent cover.

There will also be a misting dome and the Django Unchained Misting Station, as well as more free water stations than usual.
