My Bloody Valentine Drop New Album ‘MBV’

My Bloody Valentine have gone for a pretty straightforward title for their first album in more than two decades.

The band have released MBV directly to fans via their website – and you can grab it right here in a variety of formats. This includes digital download, CD and limited edition 180 gram vinyl.

The album contains nine tracks and is led by opening track She Found Now, which you can listen to at the bottom of the page.

According to Antiquiet, frontman Kevin Shields has described the record as “stranger” than their famed 1991 album Loveless.

“I think with this record, people who like us will immediately connect with something,” he said.

“Based on the very, very few people who’ve heard stuff – some engineers, the band, and that’s about it – some people think it’s stranger than Loveless.

“I don’t. I feel like it really frees us up, and in the bigger picture it’s 100 per cent necessary.”

My Bloody Valentine will be touring Australia later this month for shows in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. They’ll also headline All Tomorrow’s Parties’ I’ll Be Your Mirror festival in Altona North, Melbourne on February 16.
