New Against Me! Album Set To Be ‘Really Fucking Tough’

Don’t let the fact that Against Me! is now female fronted fool you into thinking they’ve lost their balls. Literally. In a recent interview, bassist Andrew Seward has given us ample warning that the band’s next album Transgender Dysphoria Blues is set to be ‘really fucking tough’, with Laura Jane Grace producing.

The news came during a chat Seward conducted with MTV. Telling the program that “It just sounds fucking killer,” continuing to explain that the band did not enlist the help of long-term collaborator Bitch Vic to take the reigns in the studio, but passed that torch onto vocalist Laura Jane Grace.

“[Singer] Laura [Jane Grace] is recording the whole thing herself,” Seward explains. “Engineering, producing, build the studio — full-on everything.”

Transgender Dysphoria Blues is sure to have the final touches added to it in the near future. The release will be following up the band’s latest double album White Crosses/Black Crosses. Transgender Dysphoria Blues will be the first release since Laura Jane Grace became a permanent fixture.

Get keen, as the band will be here in a matter of weeks for BDO.
