Passion Pit have just announced a bunch of headlining dates while they’re back in Australia for Splendour 2013. As well as this year’s iteration of the Byron Bay-based winter festival, the American synth pop outfit will also play their own shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth, as well as a stop off of at Splendour’s SA counterpart Spin Off Festival.
Even though frontman Michael Angelakos and co were only in Australia as recently as Parklife 2012, Passion Pit have achieved much in just that short time. The band sold out the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York earlier in the year before going on to play two triumphant sets at Coachella 2013.
Since the release of their second album Gossamer last year, Passion Pit have continued to collected fans around the world behind singles like Take A Walk and Carried Away, and their spectacular, energetic stage show has also garnered praise the globe over.
