Pharrell Says A New N.E.R.D. Album Is On The Way

It looks like a new N.E.R.D. album is in the pipeline, with band member Pharrell Williams saying the group are “of course” going to release the follow-up to their 2010 album, Nothing.

When asked about the prospect of a new N.E.R.D. album during a Twitter Q&A session for iHeartRadio, Williams responded with the loud but limited response “OF COURSE!”, sending fans into a frenzy.

Williams didn’t provide any further information, and N.E.R.D.’s other two members, Sheldon Haley and Chad Hugo, haven’t said a peep about any new N.E.R.D. tunes.

Williams and co. dropped their first new single in four years, Squeeze Me, in December 2014, as part of The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out Of Water soundtrack.

Prior to Squeeze Me, N.E.R.D. got everyone (including Tyler, The Creator) all emotional by reuniting at Odd Future’s Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival in November 2014.

If N.E.R.D. do release a new album, it would be the group’s fifth full-length studio effort. Until then, relive some classic N.E.R.D. alongside Pharrell Williams’ tweet, below.
