Rick Astley Covering Foo Fighters’ ‘Everlong’ Is As Bizarre As You’d Expect

Living human meme Rick Astley is never gonna let you down, at least when it comes to covering popular songs.

Like that time he covered Dorothy The Dinosaur by The Wiggles, I think we can all agree that was pretty awesome.

The gingernut singer of internet trolls’ national anthem and noted multi-instrumental dynamo has had a crack at the Foo Fighters’ classic Everlong, in an attempt to lure fans to a benefit concert he’s playing in London to raise money for the Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy Foundation.

And the results are… well… you be the judge.

All jokes aside, Rick Astley (AKA Dick Spatsley) is out there making a name for himself as one seriously talented muso these days. As well as dropping his new album 50 earlier this year, the fanta-pantsed crooner delivered a surprisingly on-point rendition of Mark Ronson’s Uptown Funk, sang and drummed the shit out of an AC/DC classic and may also possibly be collaborating with Darude sometime soon.

And Astley’s total domination of all music genres continues today with his impromptu cover of the Fooies.
