Rick Ross Wasn’t Paid For Supafest – Won’t Play Sydney, Melbourne Or Perth

Rick Ross will not be coming to Australia for any of the Supafest 2012 festivals because he wasn’t paid. A rep for Rick Ross has hit out at the Supafest promoters for failing to meet the payment arrangements of the contract.

Statement from Rick Ross’s management:

“Ross was looking forward to touching the people of Australia. This event is one of the biggest urban festivals in Australia and he is very disappointed that he will not be performing.

It is unfortunate that the payment arrangements did not meet contractual deadlines” (Via allhiphop.com).

This comes in stark contrast to the statement sent to us by the Supafest promoters yesterday, which claimed the rapper had been paid in full.

Statement from Supafest promoters regarding Rick Ross:

“Rick Ross has been paid in full and contracted, but failed to show up in Brisbane this morning with no reason from management and no official cancellation or word from his management.”

Supafest co-producer, John Denison, also hit out at fans who questioned why Rick Ross didn’t turn up yesterday.

Rick Ross was the third act to be removed from the Supafest lineup. P. Diddy hit out at promoters for failing to meet their contract obligations while Missy Elliot’s management issued a statement claiming that Elliot was never even confirmed to play the festival.
