Robyn Pulls Out Of Falls Festival Shows With Röyksopp?

Swedish electronic songstress Robyn may no longer be appearing alongside fellow Scandinavian collaborators Röyksopp on their Australian tour this summer as part of Falls Festival, according to a Facebook post from festival organisers that has since been deleted.

A statement from Falls organisers posted on their Facebook page, which is now deleted, states that Robyn has pulled out of the festival due to “a personal family matter”. The festival add that they are currently working on updates to the line-up which will be released once confirmed. See a screenshot of the post below.

In addition to their Falls Festival performance, the Scandinavian acts are supposed to extend their Australian visit with two “state-of-the-art” one-off headlining shows in Sydney and Melbourne in January 2015. The tour follows the release of Röyksopp and Robyn’s mini-album Do It Again.

The joint tour dates were put in doubt earlier today when ticket sales for their sideshows, due to start at 10am, did not go ahead. Promoters Live Nation said earlier today they were unable to go ahead with sales as planned “due to unforeseen developments in recent days.”

The Facebook post by Falls Festival seems to indicate that Röyksopp will go ahead with the shows without Robyn, if she has in fact pulled out. No further details have been announced. Music Feeds will update as more news comes to hand.

UPDATE 06/11/14: It’s official — Robyn has cancelled her entire Australian tour, including Falls Festival.
