WA indie four-piece San Cisco have revealed that a third album is on the way, and have shared its lead single, SloMo.
The new track is the A Side to their aptly named recent track B Side, which was released last month, and now the band have told triple j that their next album should be ready to go “early next year… a couple of months in”.
“[We’re] quite far but there’s still quite a bit to do,” says the group’s Jordi Davieson.
SloMo (below) is a slick, funky effort which switches between bass-driven sections and more reflective and acoustic parts.
Typically, in most San Cisco songs where Davieson and his bandmate Scarlett Stevens share vocal duties, there are some super-sweet harmonies to wrap your ears around.
“It was the first song that we wrote together as a band after [latest album] Gracetown and we just wanted to write a song that made people wanna move around,” the band say.
“It’s not so much a heartbreak one, it’s a bit in da club but also feels.”
