UPDATE 01/11/17: The Spilt Milk festival lineup has expanded again with the addition of triple J Unearthed winner, Canberra-via-South Africa rapper KG.
UPDATE: The 2017 Spilt Milk festival lineup has expanded with a bunch of new acts.
ORIGINAL STORY: Get ready to cry (tears of joy) over Spilt Milk, because Kiwi alt-pop kween Lorde has just been revealed as the Canberra festival’s blockbuster headline act for 2017, alongside an epic lineup of triple J faves like Alison Wonderland, Vance Joy, Tash Sultana and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard.
That’s not to mention Bad//Dreems, Carmada, Dune Rats, Illy, Mallrat, Remi x Sampa The Great, San Cisco and loadsssss more who’ll be hitting up Commonwealth Park on Saturday, 25th November. Peep the full lineup, below.
It’s probably the festival’s most diverse roster yet, with a mixed bag of female artists joining Her Lordeship on the bill (promoters have clearly learned their lesson after last year’s lineup controversy), so good job all!
This year’s Spilt Milk lineup will be bolstered by a “vivid colour escape” created by artists Yok & Sheryo and Alex Sanson, and tastebud-teasing delights from Filipino street food masters Hoy Pinoy, Down ’N Out Burger and gelato kings Messina.
Catch the full music lineup and all the ticket details, below.
As for Lorde, Spilt Milk marks her second Aussie show to be announced for 2017, with the first going down at a “secret location” in July, after the ‘Perfect Places’ songstress releases her new album Melodrama next Friday, 16th June.
