Sydney Scores New Trap Club ‘Awful Things’ In Honour Of Lil Peep

The alternative music revival in Sydney has just ramped up a notch with the announcement of a brand new monthly club night dedicated to all things trap, hip-hop and emo rap.

Dubbed ‘Awful Things’ after Soundcloud rapper Lil Peep (RIP), the freshly announced underground bash will hit Sydney’s Burdekin Hotel next week on Australia Day eve, Thursday 25th January.

“The name comes from a Lil Peep song, and we thought it would be nice tribute to him. His passing really hit a lot of us personally,” says event mastermind Thomas Milgate, who also happens to be the brains between crazy successful monthly emo party AM//PM.

The event will be stacked with live acts and underground rap DJs in the form of Lucid Boys, Kash Kal, Yung Dready Mane, 777MBG & DXXM, with jocks spinning tunes across two rooms from midnight.

The ‘live room’ will be vibing to the sounds of Lil Peep, $uicide Boy$, Nothing Nowhere, Ghostemane, Lil Pump, Fat Nick and more, while the hip-hop room will be blasting bangers from Post Malone, Kendrick Lamar, A$AP Rocky, Drake, Outcast, Snoop and ear-loads of your other rap faves.

The event is pretty much a first for this scene in Sydney so get out and bloody support it whydotcha.
