Watch Lin-Manual Miranda Shred Harvey Weinstein In Killer Freestyle Rap

Undoubtedly one of the most talented writers, actors, directors and musicians on earth Lin-Manuel Miranda has weighed into the controversy surrounding Hollywood producer and alleged sexual abuser Harvey Weinstein.

Weinstein was removed from his company’s board of directors earlier this month following numerous allegations of sexual assault and sexual harassment leveled against him, prompting dozens of celebrities to voice their own torment and experiences in the entertainment industry.

Hamilton creator Lin-Manual stopped by Sway in the Morning for their legendary segment ‘5 Fingers Of Death,’ and was prompted during his rap to turn his attention to Weinstein.

Rapping along to 1991 Black Sheep track ‘The Choice Is Yours’ (later sampled by Fatman Scoop) Miranda called on Weinstein to give back the rights to a musical he wrote called In The Heights.

“Oh Harvey Weinstein, on the New York Transit Line, If that train it went off the track, Can I have In The Heights rights back,” he spits.

Miranda continues to rap ““Back on the scene/ Crispy and clean/ Oh my God, that’s guy’s so fucking obscene!”

Watch the freestyle rap below, with Miranda’s Weinsten reference going on at 22mins, 20 seconds.
