Watch This Aus-Rock Supergroup Play At The World Cup

Though England may have the Barmy Army, renowned for their blind devotion to the Queen’s cricketing best, they never flew out their nation’s finest rockers for a one-off show. But that’s exactly what the Socceroos fan contingent, who proudly call themselves Fanatics, recently went and did.

In addition to hosting the 2014 World Cup, Brazil is currently home to the 1,500 Australians who are there to cheer on our boys. And what better way to cheer them on than with the help of Spiderbait’s Kram, Powderfinger’s Darren Middleton, Jet’s Mark Wilson, and You Am I‘s Davey Lane?

This Aus-rock supergroup played a one-night-only show in Porto Alegre ahead of Australia’s clash with the Dutch. The band worked their way through some Australian rock classics including cuts from Spiderbait, Jet, and Powderfinger, as well as High Voltage, Holy Grail, and of course, Khe Sanh.
