With Byron Bay Bluesfest 2015 only three weeks away, organisers have secured some fresh faces for the festival’s opening night. Aussies Angus & Julia Stone, Boy & Bear and Sticky Fingers will now play the festival’s Thursday night, with Jurassic 5 adding an additional performance on the very same evening.
Having already lost rocker Lenny Kravitz and seen English indie-folk artist Ben Howard pull out of the Bluesfest 2015 lineup, organisers have done well to add a large garnish to the event’s first night.
In a statement, Bluesfest Director Peter Noble says, “To be adding Angus & Julia Stone, Boy & Bear, Sticky Fingers and an additional performance from Jurassic 5 only three weeks out of the Festival is a huge milestone.
“This is a time when all artists are truly locked away and no further announcements are scheduled. We have now added a whole slew of Australia’s best contemporary talent.”
