The ever-unpredictable Death Grips have released a new nine-track album by a group called the I.L.Y.’s, both exciting and confusing fans everywhere.
As Pitchfork reports, a Twitter account reportedly associated with the Death Grips camp has shared a download link (below) for an album called I’ve always been good at true love, by the I.L.Y.’s.
Interestingly, the rock-influenced album, which can be streamed in full below, is being hosted on Death Grips’ website. What’s more, Reddit users have spotted that the title of album cut The Sickest Fuck Of Them All appears on a shirt worn in Death Grip’s music video for I’ve Seen Footage.
The I.L.Y.’s song All She Does is Kill Shit sounds like it might feature Death Grips vocalist MC Ride, while some of the album’s other vocals appear similar to the solo work of the group’s drummer, Zach Hill, leading many to think the release might be from a new side project.
No matter who or what the I.L.Y.’s are, we’re thoroughly enjoying the mystery. Death Grips themselves released their latest studio album The Powers That B in February, after sharing half of the record on YouTube.
