Singer-songwriter Amy Shark has taken us back to the year 2000 with a cover of the Wheatus classic ‘Teenage Dirtbag’ at Byron Bay’s Splendour In The Grass.
Shark knocked out a number of singalongs from her just-released debut album Love Monster at Splendour’s Amphitheatre stage on Saturday afternoon, and ‘Teenage Dirtbag’ got a strong response from all current (and former) teenage dirtbags in the crowd.
Watch video of the cover, below.
This isn’t the first cover we’ve seen at Splendour In The Grass 2018; Lorde returned to her cover of Powderfinger’s ‘My Happiness’ (and suffered a wardrobe malfunction) last night, after DZ Deathrays (and a former Wiggle) covered an AC/DC classic.
Splendour In The Grass’ Saturday night will be headlined by Vampire Weekend. Peep Music Feeds‘ review (and photos) from day one of the festival right here.
