Blink 182 & All Time Low Love Child, Simple Creatures Release New Song ‘Strange Love’

Simple Creatures, the love child of pop punk super-duo Mark Hoppus (Blink 182) and Alex Gaskarth (All Time Low), has released the second track off their upcoming EP.

‘Strange Love’ is the title track of the group’s upcoming EP, set for release Friday 29th March.

With plenty of cool synths, upbeat electro percussions, and punchy pop vocals, Hoppus and Gaskarth have created something totally different with ‘Strange Love’.

In a press release, Mark Hoppus said of the new project, “Cooked up in studios and basements around Los Angeles, we set out to push ourselves in musical directions that are new and exciting to us.

“Embracing new recording techniques and processes, we broke songs down to their barest bones and rebuilt them into musical Frankenstein monsters.”

Gaskarth said, “We picked these songs to represent everything that this project is about, to defy expectations, and to showcase the stylistic choices we set out to make from its inception.”

He said their approach to writing was to create whatever made them feel “way out of their comfort zones.”

“We weren’t afraid to push each other and strive to get stranger.”

New Blink 182 is on its way too, with Travis Barker telling Billboard just yesterday that their new album is 70 per cent finished — and apparently it sounds like their early 2000s self-titled album.
