Texan RnB artist, Khalid has announced his second album, Free Spirit is on its way, along with an accompanying short film.
The album is set for release on Friday, 5th April with its short film to come out two days prior, Wednesday 3rd April.
The short film will be shown in selected cities’ theatres, allowing fans to attend listening parties worldwide. Details are still to come.
Free Spirit comes as the much anticipated follow up to American Teen, which saw ‘Young Dumb & Broke’ gain Khalid a whole bunch of new fans.
The first taste off of the album is ‘Talk’ a gentle but catchy release produced by Disclosure.
Khalid told Rolling Stone his recent single is all about encouraging honest communication, “A lot of people my age are struggling with being themselves in the world. I want to let them know I feel the same things.”
“I’ve learned how to talk about my anxieties in music,” he said.
Free Spirit is out via RCA and Columbia Records Friday, 5th April and available for pre-order Thursday 7th March.
