Slipknot Are Performing On ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ Next Week

Slipknot have announced their first live set since 2016 will be a televised appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! next week.

Scheduling the appearance just a few weeks out from their upcoming tour, the appearance is set for Friday 17th May.

The masked metal outfit last performed at Japan’s Knotfest in 2016. But that doesn’t mean they’ve been quiet for the three years.

In the last few months alone Corey Taylor has called Imagine Dragons the “worst band of all time”, they’ve reportedly been sued by maybe-former drummer Chris Fehn, and announced a worldwide tour — including an Australian stint.

Along with all of that, we’ve received lots of hints about what their upcoming album — due Friday 9th August — will sound like.

Corey Taylor has described it as their “most experimental and ambitious yet” and says the new songs have the “best lyrics he’s ever written”.

The band announced the Jimmy Kimmel Live spot via Twitter, firing up questions like: who will be drumming, what material will they have, and will there be new masks?!

Slipknot’s sixth studio album is set for release Friday 9th August, and their Aussie tour with Metallica kicks off this October.

In the mean time, the band will play Jimmy Kimmel Live! next Friday night.
