Make Them Suffer Slam Stage-Jumper For Groping Keyboardist Booka Nile

CONTENT WARNING: The following article discusses sexual abuse

Perth metal masters Make Them Suffer have taken a powerful stand against sexual abuse at gigs, after their keyboardist Booka Nile was indecently assaulted by a fan at one of the band’s recent European shows.

“Tonight our keyboardist, Booka was groped by an audience member who crowd surfed onto stage,” the band wrote on Twitter.

“We are a united front who want to say that this behaviour repugnant and unacceptable. Anyone who thinks this is in any way okay is not welcome at our shows.”

Nile has also taken to social media to echo the same sentiments, condemning the incident and this type of shitty behaviour in general.

“Tonight I was groped by a patron while I played on stage,” she wrote. “I am fucking pissed. I’m a person and this is my job. If you think it’s okay to come to my work and act with such gross disrespect then stay at home because you’re not fucking welcome at our shows.”

AMEN.

Meanwhile, in happier news, Make Them Suffer will return home later this month before kicking off a headline tour across Australia in June. Catch all the dates here.
