AC/DC Break Social Media Silence To Mark 40th Anniversary Of ‘Highway To Hell’

Aussie rockers AC/DC are traditionally fairly quiet on social media. They’ve today shared not one, but TWO video updates via the social media platform.

The first video is a Highway To Hell 40th Anniversary clip, presumably teasing something exciting:

The second clip is a live performance of the classic song, recorded for Countdown in Holland, 1973:

There’s been speculation for a little while now about what AC/DC have got planned.

Just a few days ago, Blabbermouth pointed out that Kansas rock station V100 reported that the band will be announcing a 2019-20 world tour.

The radio station cited yesterday, Wednesday, 17 July as the announce date, but as they reminded us, “we’re talking about the music biz here, [so] things could change. But, right now that’s what we’ve been told.”

Back in April, speaking with Tony Mantz on his podcast Mastering Music Mastering Life, AC/DC sound engineer, Mike Fraser let slip that the band have been back in the studio.

“Well, yeah, I could say that we’ve been in the studio doing something,” Fraser said.

“What’s come of that I can’t discuss yet.”
