Hein Cooper Shows Off Some Fancy Harmonies On Lily Allen’s ‘The Fear’ For Like A Version

Hein Cooper was up for triple j’s Like a Version today. He took on real-life angel, Lily Allen’s ‘The Fear’ and it’s really nice.

Stripping back the 2009 hit, he brought along a keyboardist, a back-up vocalist, and an acoustic guitar. Their cover is full of sweet harmonies and subtle shifts in the arrangement of the song.

Pulling the classic Like a Version lyric change, Hein Cooper replaces Allen’s original lyrics, “everything’s fine as long as I’m getting thinner” with “everything’s cool as long as I’m getting more followers on Insta”.

He performed his own single, ‘Like That’ too. Watch both his Like a Version and his original down below.

Hein Cooper is currently touring around Australia and will play Sydney’s Lansdowne tonight — dates are below.
