Sydney’s Frankie’s Pizza To Host “Greatest Jam Night In Recent Australian Rock History” To Mark House Band’s 300th Show

Frankie’s World Famous House Band has hit the stage at their iconic Hunter Street pizza bar home every Monday night for the past six years. Tomorrow marks their 300th show and, to celebrate, they’re throwing the “greatest jam night in recent Australian rock history”.

The house band are renowned for busting out classic rock n’ roll bangers accompanied by a revolving-door cast of high voltage vocalists, which in the past has included members of Guns N’ Roses, Whitesnake, Wolfmother, The Cult, KISS, Rose Tattoo, Judas Priest, DIO, AC/DC and many, many more. Indeed, a Frankie’s House Band cameo has become a rite of passage for any classic rock or metal acts passing through Sydney.

As for which vocalists will be making an appearance during tomorrow night’s festivities, we know that Skenie Anthony of legendary Aussie rock act The POOR will be in the house! But otherwise, that information is being kept as secret as some of the fabled goings-on in the Frankie’s fun room.

But one thing’s for sure… we’re excited.

“Are you locked and loaded for Frankie’s World Famous House Band’s 300th show?” the head rock n’ roll pizza rats told us in a statement.

“Many have spilt blood, sweat, water and wine on this sacred patch of 5 X 3 metre carpet, a little piece of it belongs to each of them, but make no mistake, this is House Band turf. This is the spiritual real estate owned, honed and hammered in history by Australia’s torchbearers of real Classic Rock n’ Roll – FRANKIE’S WORLD FAMOUS HOUSE BAND!”

The continued: “Please do join us as we present a rotation of 15 guests over two FAT sets of High Voltage R N’ R… descending on Frankie’s Pizza to throw down in what is looking to become the greatest ‘jam night’ in recent Australian Rock history.

“The finest in Classic Rock over two huge sets from 8:30pm. Free entry.”
