Prepare For Peak 00’s Nostalgia Because Japanese Wallpaper Just Covered ‘The O.C.’ Theme Song For Like A Version

Mate, happy Like a Version day because Japanese Wallpaper has brought the goods. That’s right, after featuring on just about everyone else’s, Japanese Wallpaper has finally been given the LAV reigns.

What tune did he pick for his time to shine? ‘California’ by Phantom Planet. Or, more recognisably, the theme song from The O.C.. You know the one, “Caaallliifffooooornniiaaaa”. Chrismukkah has come early.

Of course, Japanese Wallpaper made it sound absolutely stunning and a little bit magical. He took along some guests to help out on vocals too, including Gretta Ray and Jess Day.

He also performed his original ‘Imaginary Friends’, a single off of his upcoming, debut album Glow. It was extra special with the guest vocals too. Glow is due out Friday, 18th October. He’ll be kicking off his national tour late next month — head here for the dates.

Watch both the cover and his original below.
