Kanye West Might Be Delaying The Release Of ‘Jesus Is King’

So Kanye West‘s new album, Jesus Is King was originally set for release today, Friday 27th September. But it looks like the release might be delayed.

Initially, Kim Kardashian-West announced the album. She shared a photo of the Jesus Is King tracklist along with the date “27th September”. Then, in case that wasn’t official enough, last week Kanye confirmed the news himself. “Jesus Is King is out Sep. 27, so let’s continue this,” he said during a performance in Wyoming.

But now, in very Kanye news, some think the release has been delayed. Both Billboard and Variety have reported that “sources” say the project’s drop today has been scrapped.

Joe Coscarelli, New York Times’ music reporter tweeted, “it’s Kanye so who knows but I’m hearing from many industry people that “Jesus Is King” is not coming on Friday, despite people on the ground in Wyoming trying to make it happen……..”

On the flip though, up until two days ago, Kim Kardashian had been promoting today as the release date still. Kanye was also apparently putting on a special edition of his Sunday Service in Detroit on the Friday, to line up with the release.

And hey, apparently Kim’s dropping a new fragrant candle for KKW Fragrance at midday PST (our 5am tomorrow). Maybe we’re getting a special couple release or something.
