Hermitude Turn Nirvana’s ‘Heart-Shaped Box’ Into Dance Track For Like A Version

Hermitude have joined the list of excellent Like a Versions this year. Teaming up with Jaguar Jonze on vocals, they took on a 1993 classic: Nirvana’s ‘Heart-Shaped Box’.

Hermitude kept the lyrics and the darker grunge anthem vibes, but that’s about it, putting their classic electronic-dance production skills to work and turning the song into a club banger. Meanwhile, Jaguar Jonze’s brooding vocals pay perfect homage to Nirvana.

They performed their own ‘OneFourThree’ live too. Where the original featured Buddy and BJ The Chicago Kid, they got Adelaide MC Jimblah on vocals instead.

You can watch both their original and the Like a Version down below.

Hermitude kick off their national tour next Friday. They’re set to stop at Perth, Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, and Brisbane. The boys will be ringing in the new year at NYE in The Park. Then they’ll be playing Party in the Paddock next February.
