PREMIERE: Caravana Sun Remind You That You’re Not Alone On ‘Charlie’

‘Charlie’, the first single of the year for Caravãna Sun, sees the typically ebullient band get vulnerable, if still uplifting.

While musically, the song retains the band’s brand of vibey, sun-drenched rock, it’s essentially a song about learning to extend our hand and accept support in our darkest moments, encouraging listeners to take care of themselves and affirming that they’re not alone.

“This song is about reaching out, being open and connecting to people. It’s about knowing that even in your darkest times, people are there to support and love you,” commented singer and songwriter Ant Beard.

“At times, these heavy places can seem so lonely and all it takes is an honest conversation to get you out. A beer with a mate, a walk with a friend, or a simple message – you’re not alone.”

For Beard, ‘Charlie’ was written in a time of personal difficulty, at a point where he felt he’d dropped out of touch with himself. The music came organically, centred around a guitar riff the band’s Luke Carra wrote while they were on the road in Europe.

Caravãna Sun will follow up the release of ‘Charlie’ with a trio of national tour dates throughout March and April, supported by Dreggs in Sydney and Brisbane.
