Dixie Chicks Announce New Release Date For Anticipated ‘Gaslighter’ Album

The album we all need right now, Dixie Chicks’ comeback album Gaslighter is a-go again. Initially, due to land before our ears Friday 1st May before being delayed, we can now expect the album on Friday, 17th July.

Gaslighter is a huge deal for Dixie Chicks fans. It’s their first new album in a huge 14 years and their producer Jack Antonoff reckons it’ll be “10 times more personal and autobiographical” than their past releases.

That sentiment is definitely echoed in the first two tasters: title track ‘Gaslighter’ and ‘Julianna Calm Down’, an ode to their daughters. Listen to ‘Julianna Calm Down’ down below.

Dixie Chicks’ lead vocalist, Natalie Maines shared a post to Instagram to reveal the new album’s release date.
