Lineup Announced For Melbourne’s First Drive-In Concert

UPDATE 03/07/2020: All The Drive-In events have now been cancelled, due to the current COVID-19 outbreaks in Victoria that have sent many hotspot areas (within close proximity to the venue) into lockdown, preventing the safe execution of the event. “The safety of our patrons, staff and artists is our top priority and after consulting with various experts and officials this tough, but necessary decision was made,” say organisers in a statement. “Further to immediate health concerns, the possibility of artists being able to travel interstate is becoming increasingly uncertain and in some cases is now impossible.”

All ticket purchasers will receive an email from Oztix on Monday the 6th of July which will provide further details on the refund process.

Original Story: Victoria’s first drive-in concert venue, aptly titled The Drive-In, was announced yesterday, and now we know the impressive slew of acts that will be taking the stage later this year.

With concerts set to take place through three weekends next month, some of the acts set to play The Drive-In include Ball Park Music, Alex Lahey, Lime Cordiale, Baker Boy, Northeast Party House and more.

Put together by Untitled Group, the concerts will take place at Flemington Racecourse with each providing 200 jobs in the live music industry – which has been devastated by the coronavirus pandemic.

Obviously, there’ll be strict precautions in place for health and safety reasons – including a limited capacity.
