Corey Taylor Advocates For Vaccination In Latest Health Update

Last week, heavy metal vocalist Corey Taylor revealed he had tested positive for COVID-19.

The Slipknot vocalist has been documenting his progress with the disease over the past couple of days, initially reporting that he felt “very, very sick.” However, in the singer’s latest social media video message, he’s feeling considerably better.

“I am out of the woods,” says Taylor, who is visibly and audibly congested. He goes on: “I’m still positive, but the fever’s gone, aches are gone, I’m sweating everything out. I’m still congested, but I’m slowly but surely making my way.”

Taylor attributes his relatively speedy recovery to the fact he’s fully vaccinated. “I truly believe that is what helped me get over the brink,” he says. “This is the worst I’ve ever been sick in my life. Had I not been vaccinated, I shudder to think how bad it would’ve been.”

He then encourages everyone with vaccine access to get the jab themselves. “It definitely helped me get through it,” he says. “So go, go, go. If you’re still on the fence, I’m telling you right now it’s the best thing you can do for yourself.”

Taylor’s positive diagnosis came just after the conclusion of a recent solo tour. He and his band played at the Ogden Theatre in Denver, Colorado on Thursday, 19th August. Taylor broke the news of his positive diagnosis just two days later.

Taylor released his debut solo album, CMFT, in October 2020.
