Testament Announce 2025 Australian Tour

Testament have announced their return to Australia, with a five-date headlining tour plotted for June 2025. The tour will mark the American thrash metal veterans’ first shows locally in over a decade, following their appearance at the penultimate Soundwave festival in 2014. It will also mark their first headlining tour since 2010. The full list of tour dates, as well as pre-sale and ticketing information, can be found below.

In the decade since Testament were last in Australia, the band have released a further two studio albums. Their 12th, Brotherhood Of The Snake, was released in 2016. Its follow-up, Titans Of Creation, followed in 2020. In July 2024, it was reported that the band were at work on a Wnew studio album – which will potentially be released by the time Testament return to the country.

Testament – ‘Over The Wall’

“We hope to have a single… towards the end of the year,” said the band’s long-serving lead vocalist Chuck Billy, in an interview with American radio station 107.7 The Bone. “The record is very aggressive. We have a new drummer, Chris Dovas, who’s really putting a fire under Eric [Peterson, guitarist] and really, really got some really heavy, fast [drumming]. I’m excited going in before the mix, because I just know each song is one step up from the last record, as far as aggression [goes].”
