QOTSA Launch 24/7 Hotline For You To Complain About Anything

Got beef? A grievance? Something that really grinds your gears?

Queens Of The Stone Age would, apparently, like to hear about it.

Ahead of their return to Australia this December, Josh Homme and co. have launched their very own 24/7 complaint hotline, inviting “fans, friends, and foes” alike to pick up the phone and unload whatever happens to be pissing them off.

The band unveiled the hotline on socials this past Wednesday, 5th August, encouraging callers to “air their gripes and grievances, moans and groans, chagrin’, carpin’ and any judgments they wish to pass”.

Their official policy? “No bitching too big. No whiny too tiny.”

In news that makes this whole enterprise even funnier, QOTSA claim each complaint will be “reviewed personally”, with callers potentially even finding “a live ear at the other end of the line”.

“Sometimes people just need to complain, and Queens of the Stone Age are here to listen,” the band explain.

Whether that means Josh Homme himself might occasionally pick up the blower to hear about your shitty landlord, cooked situationship, nightmare commute or neighbour who inexplicably starts mowing the lawn at 7am remains to be seen.

But if you’ve been desperately searching for somewhere to lodge a formal grievance with Queens Of The Stone Age, congratulations. Your bizarrely specific prayers have been answered.

The hotline arrives shortly after QOTSA dropped ‘Easy Street’, their first new song since 2023 album In Times New Roman.

Originally debuted live during the band’s Catacombs run last year, the loose and psychedelic new tune features guest vocals from Nikki Lane and was deliberately recorded with all of its little human imperfections intact.

“It’s not just about silliness,” Homme recently explained of the track. “It’s about understanding the imperfection of your life. The song, like your life, is in the mistakes. Its imperfections are unbeatable.”

And happily for us, Aussie fans will soon have an opportunity to take any outstanding complaints directly to the source.

Queens Of The Stone Age will return Down Under this December for a six-date Australian tour, bringing alternative rock legends Primus and one of Australia’s most uncompromising live acts, Tropical Fuck Storm, along for the ride.

The run will mark QOTSA’s first Australian shows since 2024, kicking off in Adelaide before hitting Hobart, Melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle and Brisbane.
