Melbourne singer-songwriter Laura Imbruglia has released the video for her new single, Awoooh!, from her forthcoming third album. Featuring a bit of Teen Wolf-style romance and some Saturday Night Fever dance moves in Melbourne’s iconic onesixone nightclub, the clip was directed by Karl Siemon (The Pictures, Even) and Stephen Nicolazzo (Psycho Beach Party).
After wowing us with Why’d You Have To Kiss Me So Hard, this new track showcases all of Imbruglia’s usual charm but with a bit more country twang than her previous efforts. Awoooh! features special guest Seja Vogel (Regurgitator) on keys, as well as her backing band featuring members from Smallgoods, Ground Components and Midnight Woolf.
Catch Laura live in Sydney, Melbourne or Castlemaine during April and May. Her third album, tentatively titled What A Treat!, is due for release June 2013.
