CONTENT WARNING: The following article discusses alleged sexual assault
50 Cent has deleted an Instagram post that effectively mocked Terry Crews’ claims he was sexually assaulted, after facing intense backlash.
Last year, during the peak of the #MeToo movement, Crews spoke out of his alleged experience with sexual assault, saying Hollywood agent Adam Venit groped him at a party. On Tuesday, Crews testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee alongside activist Amanda Nguyen.
50 Cent (real name Curtis Jackson) took to Instagram to post a now-deleted meme of Crews. It image of a shirtless Crews with the words, “I got raped. My wife just watched” superimposed on top. Next to that was another photo of Crews holding a rose in his mouth that said “Gym time.”
Jackson captioned the post with “LOL, What the fuck is going on out here man? Terry: l froze in fear, they would have had to take me to jail. Get the strap.”
Seeing 50 cent’s comments mocking Terry Crew’s freezing when sexual assaulted is disturbing. It contributes to silencing survivors, specifically men when they speak out about sexualized violence and to the lack of knowledge about people’s trauma reactions. #MeToo pic.twitter.com/MLQUU6eZh7

After Jackson deleted the post, he didn’t shy away from his comments on Twitter, saying “people are so sensitive.”
This is me recovering from having my sense of humor removed this morning. People are so sensitive, my doctor said l will be fine in six weeks, but my publicist said if you see any journalist play DEAD. ?get the strap pic.twitter.com/yOTngui8ra

When TMZ asked Crews about the comment, he said, ““I love 50 Cent. I listen to his music while I’m working out.”
“I prove size doesn’t matter when it comes to sexual assault.”
