The 411:

Meet Hotel, the glitchy fuzz-rock maestro from Sydney who’s set to turn loads of heads with his new single ‘Holy Smokes’.

Having first arrived on the scene last year with debut single ‘Loose Change’, Hotel quickly gained support from triple j, and scored coverage in Europe with his angsty, defiant, and ultimately exciting take on alternative rock, tastefully littered with contemporary production elements.

Making it three from three with ‘Holy Smokes’, Hotel is definitely one to watch over the next year.

Review:

Kicking off with a groovy as hell bass-line, ‘Holy Smokes’ is an instant toe-tapper, made all the more interesting with the percussive beats and glitchy vocal effects. With the sneering vocals contrast by a guest verse/vocals from Triple One’s Obi Ill Terrors, this feels part Sex Pistolspart IDLESand all attitude.
