Here’s Your Ultimate Driving Playlist, Courtesy Of Melbourne Artist Ben Wright Smith

Hard working folk artist Ben Wright Smith is just about to finish up a massive national tour that has sprawled across our great wide country since the throes of winter. He has hit up major cities along the way, with many regional Aussie towns in between. This kind of land coverage has obviously required eternal-road-trip-style driving, clocking up serious mileage behind the wheel (20,673 km to be exact).

This has also required some serious tune-age to make those getting from A-B hours fly by. So, Wright Smith has been kind enough to send us a copy of his ultimate driving playlist, just in case anyone out there requires a spring-time, road-trippin soundtrack.

It’s a killer collection of chilled, stripped-back, folk-driven tunes, with a few indie-rock-bangers in there to give you that little extra shake up, necessary after countless hours of seemingly endless road gazing. Think Angel Olsen, Lonely Richard and Deerhunter. Check it out below.

Ben Wright Smith has finally made it to his final show of the tour, which will take place in his hometown of Melbourne tonight, coinciding with the launch of his brand new, dreamy lo-fi folk-rock single Sand Grabber. His debut album is due out early next year.

Give his playlist a spin, and check out the roadtrippin’ video to his new single Sand Grabber plus gig info, below.
