I have started my travels in Italy: land of pizza, pasta, vino and some of the most breathtaking places on earth. Here, ‘Danza Kuduro’ and non-decript dance music seems to be king among the 20+ age group, who blast it from their pimped-up cars whilst driving down the streets of Northern Italy. I know…
However, just a few days into my Italy trip I was introduced to Englishman Jake Bugg’s awesome folk style tunes, and it’s that fabulous I must share him with you!
Nottingham born Bugg has an amazing and unique sound, that can only be described as Bob Dylan meets Johnny Cash, a very mature sound for his eighteen years. His debut album is due out this October, but he has previously released a few singles, a couple of which have made it into the UK charts.

One of my faves is Somebody Told Me; try listening to this without welling up even slightly, it showcases his vocal talents fantastically.
