British singer and songwriter George Ezra has been going from strength to strength over the last year culminating in the widespread success of his hit single Budapest, taken from his debut record Wanted On A Voyage. While he says he’s not fazed about just how many people have latched onto the song, he is excited about giving it new life when he hits the stage with a full band.
“For the last two years I’ve been performing by myself. Every gig I’ve done, it’s just been me and my guitar. But I’ve always heard the songs in my head with a lot more production,” explains the musician in the latest Music Feeds Podcast. “It hasn’t fazed me how many people have heard it, I’m more anticipating people hearing it finally with the band.”
“It feels amazing to have people on stage with me,” George adds. “On an emotional level, as well. When you get off stage you can share the adrenaline with somebody, because there’s three other guys that have been on stage with me and experienced it with me. And it’s a lot healthier, I think.”
