Brisbane based producer and singer/songwriter MKO SUN continues to impress with her mesmerising and intricate electronic pop, with 2015 seeing the release of her third EP Opus Opalus, which Music Feeds is thrilled to bring you the exclusive full stream of, right here!
Birthed in New York city last year, the seven new tracks sonically explore the complicated emotions and experiences that arise in the aftermath of a loved one’s passing, after MKO (Hannah Macklin) tragically lost her father earlier in 2014.
“Opus Opalus is truly a journey, with each song delivering an insight into a different world; a different stop along the way,” Hannah tells us. “Aesthetically, Opus Opalus is an experimental foray that transports elements of R&B, soul and hip-hop to another realm (one which exists outside the constraints of the modern pop song.)”
Macklin has also shared with us today the brand new video for single Michiko, which features some truly breathtaking, glitchy imagery which perfectly pairs with the, at times gentle, at times thunderous electronic stylings.
