18-Year-Old Rapper Allegedly Murdered Following Dispute Over Video Game

Last week, it was reported that 18-year-old US rapper Lil Snupe, a protege of Meek Mill, had been shot and killed in Louisiana, and now police reports suggest that the young musician was killed due to bad blood stirred up from a video game session.

We’ve all heard of rage quitting before, and it’s not uncommon for a FIFA 14 session to encourage furniture throwing, but something far more serious has come of this particular video game disagreement, allegedly instigated from some form of betting over a game.

Snupe was killed Thursday, 20th June in Louisiana. Two days later, police confirmed they had a warrant for the arrest of 36-year-old Tony Holden, believed to be the other person involved in the video game betting. It’s been said that the shooting took place in Holden’s apartment. One neighbour commented, “It just got out of hand, that’s all I know.”

Lil Snupe, born Addarren Ross was seen as a rising star of the scene and was signed to Meek Mills’ record label Dream Chaser. Mills has composed a touching tribute video to his fallen protégé, which you can watch below.
