In a recent interview with the Adelaidenow, promoter of the Adelaide leg of the Big Day Out, Sascha Sewell has confirmed that the event will take place in 2013.
Speculation arose after it was announced that the Auckland end of the festival would unfortunately not take place in 2013, however all doubt has now been removed. Sewell told the Adelaidenow that “I’ve just met the new partners and we are definitely coming back to Adelaide.”
It was announced late last year that one of the largest festival promoters in America, and one of the most respected globally, C3, had partnered with Ken West and the Big Day Out team. This is the first news we have heard about the 2013 festival, and it seems that it is not changing at all, which is a relief to veterans.
With the Big Day Out coming to a close tomorrow in Perth, keen punters now have several months of speculation ahead of them, with the 2013 Big Day Out set to be one of the biggest and best in years.
