With less than one month to go until the newly resurrected Narara Music Festival returns to rock again after a more than three-decade absence, organisers have dished up the official set-times for the bash.
The one-day event will kick off at 11am and wrap its live music program at 10.30pm ahead of a “silent disco” when Narara returns for the first time since 1984.
“From top to bottom, starting with Space Carbonara & closing with The VANNS we’ve put together a festival program that’s going to provide one hell of a great day of music & serious good times,” a Facebook statement from promoters reads.
“Camping gates will open at 10am on the Saturday morning & today’s a perfect time to grab your ticket, keeping in mind camping tix must be purchased in advance online.”
The rock & blues fest has booked a heap of top notch local acts for its revival edition, including NSW South Coast band The Vanns, veteran jazz & blues outfit The Snowdroppers, Sydney indie roots act Lepers and Crooks, indie rockers Wild Honey and triple j faves Polish Club.
The event was originally set to take place in Ourimbah’s Forest Of Tranquility, but after an “overwhelming” response from fans it was moved to the larger, camping-friendly venue Mt Penang Parklands — the home of Mountain Sounds (pictured above).
Organisers have also announced that all the bands will play at least one song from bands who played the original Narara Festival, some of which include INXS, Cold Chisel and Angels.
In a nod to the old festivals, Narara 2017 will have no glamping or market stalls, but there will be some plenty of solid food options and bars.
