5 Seconds Of Summer Guitarist Michael Clifford Catches Fire On Stage

Aussie pop-punk outfit 5 Seconds Of Summer have had to cancel a London show midway through, after guitarist Michael Clifford got too close to a pyrotechnics display, momentarily catching alight.

Footage of the incident shows the hair-dye enthusiast walk in front of a vertical flame machine whilst it’s operating, with actual smoke coming off his head, before ducking away, attempting to pat it out and leaving the stage.

The band wrapped up the song before heading off to check out their singed comrade, then returning to the Wembley Arena stage to announce “Michael has hurt himself so we will not be continuing the show right now, just wanna say thank you so much for coming. He is ok.”

Mikey has since posted a picture to Twitter to update the band’s distraught fanbase, chucking a thumbs up whilst half his face is covered in bandages.

There’s currently no news on whether the tour will continue or not in light (lol) of the incident. Check out the full coverage of the fiery event via fan footage below.
