Fans eagerly awaiting the follow up to Frank Ocean’s Channel Orange will be pleased to hear that the angel-voiced singer has reportedly finally finished his new album. It has been reported that Ocean previewed tracks at a listening party in New York recently and now a 30-second snippet has been leaked.
Upon listening, it’s idiosyncratic Frank Ocean: a really beautiful melodic excerpt that you know could break into a banger any minute.
The album, Boys Don’t Cry, was originally set to drop last July, according to an announcement on Tumblr. But not a peep from the Long Beach singer has been heard since – July came and went with no sign of even a single. Fans have been putting up with a painful wait, and being trolled cheekily by Ocean’s brother, Ryan Breaux, ever since.
The wait has to be over soon, surely. In the meantime, the leaked clip can offer a tantalising taste of what’s to come.
