The lineup for Ability Fest 2024 has arrived in all its glory. This year’s instalment of the fully accessible event will feature performances from a stack of local faves including Asha Jefferies, Bag Raiders, Cub Sport, Eliza Hull, King Stingray, Kita Alexander, Ocean Alley and more, plus a set from Alabama folk-pop artist Brenn!, across both its traditional Naarm/Melbourne and debut Brisbane/Meanjin events.
Meanwhile, each leg of the fest will score a slew of exclusive performances, with Naarm/Melbourne copping ONEFOUR, Floodlights, DAWS and more, and fans in Brisbane/Meanjin being treated to Middle Kids, Eves Karydas and others.

A triple j Unearthed winner will also be crowned following a competition to open each event.
The first leg of Ability Fest will go down on Saturday, 19th October at the usual spot of Naarm/Melbourne’s Birrarung Marr, before making its debut at Brisbane/Meanjin’s Victoria Park/Barrambim on Saturday, 26th October.
Ability Fest was created by 2022 Australian Of The Year Dylan Alcott in conjunction with Untitled Group and is Australia’s first all-accessible music festival.
100% of proceeds from the event are donated to the Dylan Alcott Foundation, helping young Australians living with a disability to fulfil their potential. To date, the not-for-profit event has raised north of $500,000 for the cause.
What’s more, the festival has this year committed to ensuring accessibility on all fronts, including financially, with a single ticket price of just $60 set alongside the return of complimentary admission for carers.
“For many Australians, the cost of living crisis has created significant financial strain,” Alcott sexplains in a press statement. “We believe that music has the power to unite communities, bring people together and lift our spirits, especially during challenging times”.
For the first time, this year’s event will also be open to fans aged 16 years and older, instead of 18+, across both cities.
