AC/DC Tour Gets Epic International And Local Support Bands

Well weren’t we all very, very wrong with this whole ‘old-school Australian band getting back together for the upcoming AC/DC tour’ shebang. Yep, we kooked it pretty hard speculating that Powderfinger, Jet and/or Silverchair were reuniting, with the official announcement today that The Hives and Kingswood are in fact the supports.

The critically adored Swedish rock band The Hives will be joining the Rock Or Bust Tour, as suggested the other day by the Sydney Morning Herald alongside Aussie legends Kingswood, who will follow up the tour with appearences at Beyond The Valley for NYE.

The Hives have touched on their adoration for Acca Dacca, saying “When we were 6 years old in Fagersta, Sweden we were struck for the first time by the lightning that is Rock n Roll. That lightning was AC/DC. Now many years later we find ourselves in a successful rock n roll band and going on tour with them. It couldn’t be better if we made it up. Life rules.”

So no old-school Aussie reunion for you, but honestly, if you’re not happy with The Hives and Kinsgwood, have a long hard look at yourself in the mirror.
