Adele Fans Lash Out At Ticketing Sites In Rush To Score Aussie Tour Tix

Thousands upon thousands of rabid Adele fans have swarmed upon Australia’s ticketing websites in a bid to snap up tickets to the cockney soul diva’s debut Australian tour, which went on sale today.

And, like a rampaging Sharknado, the throng have wreaked mass and immediate destruction.

Actual live feed of Australian ticketing websites right now.

Both Ticketek and Ticketmaster sites were reportedly unresponsive for some users as the frenzied hellstorm of Adele diehards struck, with Melbourne fans the first to hit social media with their frustrations after the latter website began mercilessly catapulting them out of the queue at random, even though some of whom had even made it as far as the checkout:

Yep, it was anarchy, and the scenes in Sydney have been a similar bloodbath.

Furious fans have been advancing on the Ticketek Twitter page all day to demand answers, after its website continuously crapped itself, cock-blocking their efforts to glimpse Adele live in concert by denying them access to the midday ticket sale.

We at Music Feeds even experienced the harrowing ordeal ourselves, and were fed an infuriating sequence of error messages while being turfed out of the queue in an attempt to score tickets:

Dark times.

Luckily, after several attempts, we were able to score tickets through the Ticketek mobile app. Phew!

Sadly, many others have not been quite so fortunate, trapped in a nightmarish hell-loop spruiking a site redirection that never arrives:

And Ticketek seemed in steadfast denial of any problems with their site, instead advising the hundreds of punters tweeting about difficulties to “clear their cache and try again”:

But despite Ticketek’s best IT advice, exasperated fans still seemed to be copping grief:

Music Feeds has contacted Ticketek and Ticketmaster for comment on the whole sitch.

Meanwhile, a second Adele show in Melbourne was announced this morning after the first one sold old in an adrenaline-filled half-hour flash, and a newie has since been added in Brisbane as well.

At the time of writing, allocation has yet to be exhausted in Sydney. But at this rate, there’s bound to be a second show added before you can say Hello From The Other Side.

Until then, for all y’all still fighting the good fight on the battlefield of concert ticket purchases: never give up, never surrender.

UPDATE 22/11/16: In a statement to Music Feeds, a Ticketmaster spokesperson says, “Over the course of the morning on-sales, Ticketmaster saw an all-time high number of fans in queue for Adele tickets. At our busiest periods, we had over 90,000 fans searching for Melbourne, Etihad Stadium tickets and over 105,000 fans looking for Brisbane, The Gabba tickets.”
