AJ Maddah Says No Device For Second Soundwave 2014 Announcement

Soundwave, Warped and now Big Day Out promoter AJ Maddah has confirmed via Twitter that Texan industrial metal outfit Device will not be appearing at Soundwave 2014. Maddah also hinted at when the Soundwave 2014 second lineup announcement will be announced.

Back in April, Maddah responded to a fan’s prodding on whether Disturbed frontman David Draiman‘s new band Device could be coaxed Down Under for an appearance at Soundwave or a headline tour, by tweeting “maybe SW. If there is a headline tour it will be via Frontier Touring.”

Alas now, responding strangely enough to a question about the potential for the inclusion of the Insane Clown Posse on the Soundwave 2014 roster, Maddah has dashed the hopes of Device fans, stating “Device wanted to play but it didn’t work out.”

Maddah has tentatively announced that the second lineup announcement for Soundwave 2014 will occur in the first week of November. The promoter recently revealed that the long-awaited second announcement for the Vans Warped Tour Australia would happen this week.
