Amy Shark Returns With New Single ‘I Said Hi’, Announces Debut Album ‘Love Monster’

Hot on the heels of being announced on the lineup for Splendour In The Grass 2018, our girl Amy Shark has gifted us with some brand new tuneage.

Sharkies, wrap your eardrums around ‘I Said Hi’, another plodding pop track from the ~adorable~ Aussie singer-songwriter.

Speaking about the track, Shark says, “I was in this really tragic band and when it fell apart I kept going.

“I got a few little, tiny hints of like, ‘Oh, you know, you might get somewhere,’ and it was enough to keep me hungry… this song isn’t just about one’s struggle to succeed; it’s an anthem for anyone who is waking up everyday fighting for what they believe in and challenging the universe!”

Shark has also announced her thirstily anticipated debut album, dubbed Love Monster, which is due for release on 13th July, a few weeks before her big gig at this year’s Splendour spectacular.

No word on whether the LP will include that Mark Hoppus collab we’ve all been promised, but fingers and toes are crossed.

ICYMI: Shark has been killing it ever since her breakout single ‘Adore’ started burning up the airwaves (not to mention the triple j Hottest 100), followed up by a handful of wistful bangers off her debut Night Thinker EP.

And now, Amy’s first ever full-length is on the way. It’s available for pre-orders now, and you can give its first cut ‘I Said Hi’ a spin below.
